تهدف وحدة التعاون العلمي ودعم المشاريع في مركز الأمير سلطان للدراسات والأبحاث الدفاعية إلى تعزيز الشراكات الأكاديمية والبحثية لدعم الابتكار والتطوير في المجالات الدفاعية بطريقة تخدم المركز وتساعد على تحقيق أهدافه.

أهداف الوحدة:

   بناء منظومة وطنية محفزة للبحث والتطوير في المجالات المتعلقة بالدفاع والأمن الوطني

   تطوير أبحاث وطنية تنافسية تركز على مجالات تقنية معينة.

   الاستفادة من القدرات البحثية والعلمية لدى الجامعات.

   تنمية المهارات البحثية والهندسية للطلاب.

   ربط الجامعات المحلية مع منظومة البحث والتطوير الدفاعية ممثلة في مركز ا لأمير سلطان للدراسات والبحوث الدفاعية.

أنشطة الوحدة:

   الاستشارات العلمية

   البرامج التدريبية للقطاعات المستفيدة الدفاعية والأمنية.

   برنامج التفرغ العلمي الصيفي.

   المحاضرات العلمية المتبادلة.

   التدريب الصيفي والتعاوني

   رعاية مشاريع التخرج – طلاب وطالبات.

   المشاريع البحثية الموجهة -لأعضاء هيئة التدريس وطلبة الدراسات العليا.

   معمل الأبحاث التطبيقية المشترك.

العمل على تفعيل اتفاقيات التعاون مع الجامعات من خلال:

   تحديد مجالات التعاون مع الجامعات.

   متابعة أنشطة التعاون مع الجامعات.

   التنسيق مع اللجان الإشرافية المشتركة لتفعيل دورها.

يسعى مركز الأمير سلطان للدراسات والبحوث الدفاعية إلى بناء شبكة متكاملة من الشراكات الاستراتيجية مع الجهات ذات العمل المشترك، بهدف تحقيق منفعة متبادلة عبر تبادل الموارد والخبرات، وتنفيذ المشاريع والمبادرات المشتركة، بما يضمن رفع كفاءة المخرجات على المستويين المحلي والدولي.

   بناء روابط التعاون البحثي والتقني مع الجهات العالمية لنقل وتوطين التقنيات المتقدمة.

   إجراء الدراسات وتقديم الخدمات الاستشارية المتخصصة للقطاعات العسكرية.

   المساهمة في الإشراف الفني على برامج نقل التقنية.
